A survey on experimental studies on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of chronic renal failure
摘要
Traditional Chinese Medicines act in many ways in treating and preventing CRF. Components of Chiinese medicines are very complicated
and a single herbal medicine may contain various components. Therefore
the action of Chinese herbal medicine
especially a complex prescription consisted of many herbal medicines
can not be singular. It has to be pleiotropy. Some effective drugs or prescriptions were found in the recent ten years
among whom the effect of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in treating CRF has been confirmed
and its dosage form were by and by improved. From the above survey
it is seen that experimental researches in recent years laid their stress on pharmaceutical studies
and systemic research of TCM treatment on CRF and screening of drugs were lacking. Therefore
further prospective research of animal experimental models are still limited
more ideal models in accord with human CRF are expected.
