Experimental study on the abstinence effect of herbal preparation Composite Dongyuan Gao
摘要
The effect of herbal medicine preparation Composite Donyuan Gao (CDYG) on the animal model of drug dependence was studied. After the morphinistic models of white rats and mice had been made by closes of morphine which were ever increased daily and each time
the animals were divided into large dose CDYG group
small dose CDYG group
sustained morphine group and the control group. The withdrawal symptoms were observed after naloxone was given to the animal intraperitoneally. The results showed that in the CDYG groups withdrawal symptoms of the addicted white rats were alleviated
the number of jumps of the addicted mice was reduced
the scores of the principal symptoms of the animals were decreased
while the animals gained soon in weight. Comparing with the control group
the difference was significant (P<0.01). The fact that the effect of the CDYG was enhanced in the large dose group
suggests that it was dosage dependent.
