  Prof. Man Fong Mei, Chairman of the Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR) and Vice Chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), has been teaching integrative Chinese medicine to Western medical doctors and has published numerous papers in the past two decades. He is currently a professor and visiting professor at 3 Chinese medical universities and is an active member of several medical specialty research committees. At present, he is researching the integration of syndrome differentiation as a medical methodology with evidence-based science. This paper is part of MFM E-letter Issue 9.
