Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It has ravaged everywhere in the world and has seriously jeopardized people’s physical and mental health and their lives since the first case was announced by the US Center for Disease Control in 1981.
